The Schukats
Schukat electronic was founded in 1964 by Hans-Georg Schukat in Monheim am Rhein and since then has remained an independent family-run company. Characterised by continuous growth, the company is now led by the second generation of Schukats – siblings Georg, Bert and Edith Schukat. Around 125 employees and 25 trainees are employed in Monheim am Rhein and, in 2008, have generated turnover of about 50 million euro.
Principles
Guidelines for our relationships with our business partners and employees are mutual satisfaction and esteem, continuity and independence.
Competence
Long-established working partnerships link us with 200 manufactures in the active, passive and electromechanical fields. As a franchise partner, on the one hand, we offer our customers competent development and logistics support, for example with Sunon, MeanWell, GSN, Talema, TSC and LiteOn.
In addition, as a catalogue distributor, we are a reliable business partner for all standard applications for over 8,000 B2B clients in 50 countries.
All important innovations in the active, passive and electromechanical fields round out our product range.
Service
Schukat is able to supply considerably well 97% of our 20,000 products in medium to large quantities direct from stock, and ships within 24 hours.
Fair prices, updated hourly, true in-stock inventory, all necessary technical data and images of all of our articles are available for all users on our website.
Quality
At Schukat, we offer our customers 100% traceability: complete backward tracking from customer to manufacturer of every Schukat consignment ever delivered.
Manufacturer and date-code information can be found on every article shipment, 99.8% RoHS-compliant products with individual identification in our catalogue, online and with every delivered consignment.
We are in the process of implementing ISO 9000:2008 (certification 2010).
Environment
Since 1990, we have printed our catalogues and all of our correspondence on 100% recycled paper. Our company premises meet the low-energy standard. We are exclusive users of green electricity. Semiconductor rods, polystyrene and other packing materials are separated and collected for recycling.
And for more than 20 years, one of our directors has ridden a bicycle to work :-)
Responsibility
For more than 10 years, we have been focussed on financially supporting Sister Maria Benita in Zimbabwe. Her Order has established a school and college on the fringe of the Kalahari desert. In a land marked by state-sponsored terror and hardship, Sister Benita has made it possible for at least a few hundred young people to obtain food and education, and to look forward to a better, brighter future.
We continue to sponsor several municipal schools.
